I’ve been trying to remove the word “minor” from my vocabulary. I feel like it’s an objectifying thing to call a youth, just reducing them to their legal status

The one exception has been in the word “MAP”, as it stands for minor-attracted person. I haven’t because MAP as an umbrella term has existed for decades at this point and there’s so much culture behind it

But then I remember that I’m actually somewhat of an influential person in this community. And maybe if I made the switch to calling myself a “YAP”, then decades down the line it could become the term everyone uses?
