I'm recoining my radqueer flower symbol on this website because I've seen uncertainty as to where the symbol comes from. I was the one that created the symbol, but it was first on social media that doesn't exist anymore. I didn't have this website back then, but I do now! So I'm just gonna coin it here again.
The radqueer flower is simply a symbol used to represent being a radqueer. I wanted to create a symbol because I liked symbols and radqueer as a whole didn't have one yet. I think symbols are good to have as well as a pride flag because it gives a way to show your pride when you don't have access to multiple colors, such as if you're writing on a white board, or even if you're colorblind.
The symbol is a spiral flower drawn of one continuous stroke. I chose a flower because they're pretty and natural, just like radqueers. I also chose it because one of the earliest queer symbols was a green carnation used to signal to others that you were gay. The spiral in the middle of the flower is a reference to the childlove symbols. Each petal on the flower represents different radqueers, as we are separate, but joined together by the experience of being radically queer. It is simply known as the "Radqueer Flower".
Above are some svg files for the flowers, use them, modify them, do whatever you want with them! One is black, so it's hard to see against this dark background, but it is there!
