Ally Kotetsu

I have a few plans for this website, if anyone cares. Tl;dr; I eventually intend on migrating to a different CMS software that can also handle blogging, where I'll transfer all my blog posts, however, this CMS doesn't support ActivityPub, which means you won't be able to remotely follow me and view my posts. I might try and make some sort of newsletter where you can get email notifications or the like, but I am not totally sure yet. If that does happen, I might try and make a new ActivityPub account like I've been thinking of doing for a while. If I could set something up to make it easier to use my @live.allykotetsu.com that would be nice, though I can't view posts or follow anyone with that so that's probably a lost cause.

I am intending on migrating this site to use a Content Management System. If you are unaware of what that is, it is software that let's you easily customize a website, but let's you control it and self host all of it. When I begin the migration (hopefully soon) its possible that this blog could be down for a day or two, but I will try hard to not make that happen.

Like I said, I'm migrating all of my posts, but if for whatever reason someone thinks a relic of this blog should remain, then I encourage you to archive.org it or something.

I have big plans for the new website! It will have a blog with a comment section, that way you can give your two cents and I can respond. It will hopefully have the aforementioned newsletter. I intend on releasing music soon and the website will have archives of that. It will also be a place to put anything else I make, like if I get back into game design and make game demos or mods or something.

This blog software, WriteFreely, is just that, a blog software, so it doesn't give me much control over the structure of the site, but the new one should be more of a proper website that just so happens to include a blog. It will also have all my social media links and stuff, and I'll be able to categorize blog posts, and customize it in any way that I want.

I don't think anyone cares but I wanted to put this out there because it means this site might go down temporarily and that my ActivityPub will go down and probably be replaced.
