yesterday i was hit with a desire that i haven’t felt in a while: going to college.
now, i kind of hate the idea of college, and how it’s treated as this thing everyone has to do to complete their education. fuck student loans and fuck a degree. every manager i’ve ever had working in retail has a degree in a field of study that they never pursued, and they just became Store Managers.
but… i miss school. i want to learn. i want to learn Japanese. I want to learn how to be a better vocalist. i want to learn more about music production. i want to learn how to play guitar better
i suppose those aren’t things that college could teach me. maybe some of them, but not all. i know there’s non-college classes for those things, but it’d be nice if i could go somewhere to learn all of it, yknow? without racking up student loans
i guess this kinda turned in a vent, didnt really mean for it to lol. i just miss school and have so many things i want to learn that they never taught me while it was free for me to do so.
a silly dream of mine is a radqueer academy. a place where transage kids can go to a school that accepts them for who they are, where teacher/student relationships wouldn’t be stigmatized. a place where transrace folks could learn their language. where transprofession folks could learn how to do their careers. aaaaa *daydreaming*
